During my time at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry I’ve come to learn several things. Firstly, hours of spell spamming comes with a side of finger cramps. Secondly, and more importantly: I do not belong in Ravenclaw. While I don’t have any gripes with Ravenclaw as a house, would feel much more at home in Slytherin. I have never done a single assignment for any class. I’ve never taken notes aside from spells and other practical matters. I mostly focus on subject matters that would make me a more powerful wizard or aid me in achieving my goals. The extraneous information has little interest to me and frankly I don’t feel that is a very Ravenclaw attitude. Not to say that it’s not valuable information, I just would rather focus my attention on other matters.
Additionally, I don’t find myself bonding with other members of my house nearly as often as those in Slytherin. We share a lot in common and I think that the fraternity we share would be benefited if we were in the same house. My IRL girlfriend is also in Slytherin house and I believe that fraternity should, in some ways, extend to her as well. When I took the quiz on pottermore I was even placed in Slytherin. To be perfectly honest, I think of myself as a sort of Slytherin/Ravenclaw hybrid, though I favor heavily on the Slytherin side at this stage of my life.
As a player, I am very goal-oriented and ambitious in attitude. I feel this more closely aligns me with Slytherin’s core values over Ravenclaw. In the past 2-3 months I’ve been on the server I’ve made it to year 3, bought two properties, and several expensive brooms. I’ve gotten 15 spells nonverbal and I’m proficient in many others. Along that vein, I’d consider myself a fairly competent and clever duelist, winning the battle royale in the tier 1-6 round after killing four other players. Outside of organized events I enjoy the odd impromptu duel as well. I really think that PvP makes the spellcore plugin come alive. So many spells only affect other players and you don’t often get a chance to use them, so I like to be resourceful by using a variety of spells to gain an edge against my opponents.
When I’m not attending classes or grinding money or practicing spells, I can be a bit of a troublemaker. As stated by Salazar Slytherin himself when describing what makes a Slytherin “A certain disregard for the rules” was a key attribute. I enjoy messing with other players at hagrids by casting spells like furnunculus at them, though I generally don’t cast harmful spells at anyone unless they harm myself or my friends.
In short, I am a clever, resourceful, ambitious and determined wizard. I find friends in the Slytherin house and firmly believe that my own proclivities place me there as well. I’m certainly a team player, though I can go it alone if need be. I’m not very studious, nor am I particularly creative. As nice as Ravenclaw has been to me, I think a house transfer is for the best.
